My Favourite Festival: Eid
Eid is my favourite festival. It is celebrated by Muslims all over the world. We celebrate Eid after the holy month of Ramadan. It is a festival of joy, love, and sharing.
On the day of Eid, I wake up early and wear new clothes. I go to the mosque with my family to offer Eid prayer. After the prayer, we greet each other by saying “Eid Mubarak”.
At home, delicious food is prepared. We eat sweets like sevai and share food with friends, neighbours, and poor people. Elders give us Eidi, which makes us very happy.
Eid teaches us to be kind, helpful, and thankful to Allah. I love Eid because it brings happiness and unity to everyone.
My Favourite Festival: Diwali
Diwali is my favourite festival. It is known as the festival of lights. People decorate their houses with lamps and colourful lights.
On Diwali, we clean our homes and wear new clothes. We worship Goddess Lakshmi and pray for happiness and prosperity. We share sweets with friends and neighbours.
Diwali teaches us that light always wins over darkness. I love Diwali because it brings joy, brightness, and togetherness.
My Favourite Festival: Christmas
Christmas is my favourite festival. It is celebrated on 25th December every year. It is the birthday of Jesus Christ.
On Christmas, people decorate Christmas trees and houses. Children receive gifts from Santa Claus. We sing carols and enjoy cakes and sweets.
Christmas teaches us love, kindness, and sharing. I like this festival because it spreads happiness and peace.
My Favourite Festival: Holi
Holi is my favourite festival. It is called the festival of colours. It is celebrated in the month of March.
On Holi, people play with colours and water. We meet friends and relatives and enjoy sweets like gujiya. Everyone forgets differences and celebrates together.
Holi teaches us love, unity, and friendship. I enjoy Holi because it is full of fun and happiness.
My Favourite Festival: Durga Puja
Durga Puja is my favourite festival. It is celebrated with great joy and devotion. This festival is celebrated to honour Goddess Durga and her victory over evil.
During Durga Puja, beautiful pandals are made and idols of Goddess Durga are decorated nicely. People wear new clothes and visit pandals with their family and friends. The whole place looks colourful and lively.
We enjoy tasty food and sweets during this festival. On the last day, the idol of Goddess Durga is immersed in water. Everyone prays for peace and happiness.
Durga Puja teaches us that good always wins over evil. I love this festival because it brings happiness, unity, and joy to everyone.
